In order to meet the increase in our VisioCheck and Mobile Vision Clinic programs for the 2021-2022 school year, Conexus has added five Program Techs to our staff. Please join us in welcoming them to our team; from left to right, Josh Hood; Bianca Rogers; Rebekah Crump; Roxy Reed; and Dora Roberston.
Josh, a 2015 graduate of Grove City College with a BA in History, joins us after working as a Hanover County Jail Officer for the last five years. He is a Navy kid that went to high school in Naples, Italy. “I’m excited to be part of a Conexus team that is making a difference!”
Bianca is a Richmond native and a 2017 graduate of Norfolk State with a BA in Psychology. She most recently worked as a newborn hearing screening tech and has also worked as a behavior support aide. “I love helping children!”
Rebekah is a 2021 graduate of Virginia Tech with a BA in Human Development. She is a member of the Corps of Cadets – Air Force ROTC and is a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. A native of Powhatan County, her long term career goal is to be a social worker. “As I await my Air Force orders, I am excited to have a position that makes a difference!”
Roxy lives in Newport News and is a dual Dutch and American citizen and studied creative business in The Netherlands. She joins the team after working as a manager at a restaurant chain and she understands the role healthy vision plays in our everyday lives; her mother is an optician. “I really wanted to have a job that allows me to help the people in my community!”
Dora joins Conexus with more than 10 years of nonprofit experience and is a 1992 graduate of VCU with a BS in Accounting. She is a Chesterfield resident and worked at A Grace Place as an accountant. “I am really looking forward to doing something different with my career!”
