Several kids from Falling Creek Elementary School had the chance to take a limo tour through holiday lights on Tuesday after getting new glasses from Conexus.
To get a chance to see these holiday lights, the schools that are served by Conexus had to enter an essay contest explaining what the partnership means to them.
In a winning essay, Laura Marrow — the Chesterfield Community in Schools coordinator — wrote:
“Many of our families lack medical insurance to cover vision care and Conexus has bridged that gap for students… After receiving glasses, these students show a noticeable improvement in both their academic performances and self-esteem.”
