At its most recent Board of Directors meeting, Conexus elected Matt Lawrence as a new member.
Lawrence is currently a Division Vice President for VSP Vision Care, focused on commercial market group insurance. He has been in Executive Leadership for over 25 years across four different industries: insurance, healthcare, banking along with food and beverage. He is a graduate of San Jose State University, where he earned his degree in Communications.
Matt has a passion for making a positive impact on children. One of his healthcare roles was to lead the merger of three pediatric rehab companies into one and re-brand them as Inspired by Drive. As Chief Operating Officer he overhauled the product line, go to market strategy and purpose of the organization. His efforts and commitment to bettering the lives of children with special needs and their families, led to him being nationally recognized by multiple industry publications.
Outside of work, Matt spent six years running a 14u travel baseball team in Las Vegas to give back to baseball and kids. Over 20 kids from that program went on play college and/or professional baseball including recognizable names Bryce Harper and Kris Bryant. Stories about that team have been featured on ESPN and Sports Illustrated among others. Lawrence resides in Canton, Georgia with his wife Jamie, two daughters Emma (20) and Leila (16) along with their three dogs.
