On Thursday, September 29th, Conexus hosted “Shirt Tales & Cocktails” – our first annual Community Celebration and Awards Reception at The Tuckahoe Woman’s Club.
During the event, Conexus was thrilled to honor all the people that make our work possible including several special honorees.
Conexus presented Matt DiNardo WRIC Meteorologist the Community Partner of the Year award; Dr. Mervin B. Daugherty, Chesterfield County Public Schools Superintendent, with the Education Partner of the Year award; VSP Vision Care, Vision Service Plan, with the Vision Partner of the Year award (VSP was unable to attend so Conexus opticians accepted the award in their honor).
In addition, Conexus presented the Joseph E. Nichols Award for their longtime support of Conexus to Dr. Edwin Wortham, MD and Former First Lady of Virginia, Roxane G. Gilmore.
The event was sponsored by our incredible friends at Atlantic Constructors, Inc., Blackwood Development Company, Inc., Valley Road Vineyards, and Technology Leasing Concepts, Inc. and guests were treated to the musical talents of the Schuyler Bluegrass Band.
