Conexus Announces New Board Leadership and Elects New Member

At its most recent Board of Directors meeting, Conexus announced new Board leadership with Tom Shockley being elected as its Board Chair and Molly Bransford elected as its Vice-Char. The Board also elected Michael Chaney as a new member.

Shockley has been an active member of the Conexus Board of Directors is the Owner and President of Technology Leasing Concepts, headquartered in Richmond, VA.

He has been involved in multiple professional and community efforts, including the University of Richmond Advisory Board – Business School, as a founding board member of the YMCA Midlothian, a board member of the YMCA Manchester, John Tyler Community College’s Capital Campaign, a founding member of the Chesterfield County Adult and Juvenile Court Foundation, and a member of the South Richmond Rotary since 1975.

Tom graduated from the University of Richmond with a BA in Political Science; graduated from LSU’s Banking School of the South; and graduated from the Graduate School of Business of Columbia University, AEL Institute of Lease Management.

Bransford is Vice President of Business Development for Liphart Steel Company, a structural steel fabricator with plants in Richmond and Verona, Virginia. Molly attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas. She graduated with her BS in Environmental Design and her MS in Construction Management.

Molly has been an active member of the Conexus Board of Directors as well as the Conexus Golf Classic Committee for the last few of years. Additionally, she has been involved in multiple professional and community efforts including the Executive Leadership Team for the American Heart Association’s Heart Ball, American Heart Association’s Hard Hats with Hearts, and has served on several committees for the Associated General Contractors (AGC) and the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Chaney is the Founder and President of James River Stucco-James River Exteriors, headquartered in Chesterfield, VA.

Mike graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Business – Finance and is active in numerous professional and civic organizations including HBAR – Homebuilder’s Association of Richmond’s Workforce Development Committee; EIMA – EIFS Industry Members Association; President of the VMA – Virginia Masonry Association; AWCI- Association of Walls and Ceilings Industry; IICRC – Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification; and the Business Advisory Council with Henrico County Public Schools – Career and Technical Education where he was presented with the Henrico CTE Ray Tate Memorial Award, February 2021.
