1957 –Virginia Society to Prevent Blindness founded to support the vision needs of Virginians

1968 – Led legislation for safety eyewear in all Virginia school chemistry labs

1973 – Organized statewide effort for workplace vision safety

1986 – Convened first statewide low vision support group

1991 – Held the Inaugural Golf Classic to raise funds in support of programs

1997 – Implemented Virginia’s first Photoscreening program for pre-K children

2000 – Purchased Edward H. Titmus, Jr. Center for Sight as Richmond Headquarters

2012 – Founded and piloted VisioCheck, Conexus’ technology-based K-12 comprehensive vision programs

2014 – Renamed as Conexus and doubled the square footage of Richmond Headquarters

2016 – Visiocheck named as a best practice for school-based vision screenings

2018 – Worked with Virginia Department of Education on Vision Screening Pilot

2018 — Launched first full-time Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic for onsite eye exams and glasses at schools

2024 – Surpassed 500,000 VisioCheck screenings

2026 – Surpassed 40,000 Mobile Vision Clinic Eye Exams
