In late May, the Conexus team joined Henrico County Public Schools staff at Ridge Elementary School to celebrate our very first school year as partners! This year, Conexus delivered VisioCheck screenings to 16,509 Henrico County students in K, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 10th grades.
In addition, the Conexus Mobile Vision Clinic provided free eye exams to 251 students at Seven Pines Elementary School, Ridge Elementary School, Longdale Elementary, and Ward Elementary School.
As a result of these exams, 202 students received a free pair of glasses! For many of these young learners, the pair they received from Conexus was their very first pair, thus removing poor vision as a potential barrier to success in the classroom.
